Its now Group K, and they only do PWC motors. If you've actually got one of his old three-wheeler cylinders he *might* freshen it up, but lots of people have tried to send him new stuff and he just wont mess with it.

groupklemm@aol.com is his e-mail address. I have conversed with him a time or two. Mostly about his pipes, which he said were made by powerpros.

He also has a forum he answers questions on. As Billy said he does watercraft now. Here is the forum where he answers questions

His website
http://www.groupk.com/

Can you imagine if he would get back into porting cylinders and building engines?

Its a bummer

Is powerpros still in business? Either my phone is broken or my eyes are. I can't find this information anywhere.

I dont know if they still are but I got the very last Tri-Z LRD pipe that they made before the fixture was trashed. This was probably around 2002.

Here is the e-mail from Harry Klemm about the pipes
"Doug,
Thank you for the email, and many kind words. I've heard through the grapevine that the older hand-build cone style KR pipes are getting big money nowadays .... very nice.... but ironic :-) To say the least, I don't have any, nor have the means to make any (sadly).

Back in the day, the pipes were actually made by a shop called Power Pros (Dan & Tom Kistler) in Placentia California. They are still in biz today, and still building exhausts (although I think mostly 4stroke stuff). I don't have a phone for them, but I suspect a quick google search could turn them up. Who knows, they may still have the tooling to make them.

Good luck on your project. Respectfully, Harry Klemm Group K"

PowerPros is still in business, and the e-mail message I got back was rude.. and said in no uncertain terms are they doing any Tecate pipes. They said they got rid of all of the jigs.

Here is their website.

Klwmm Cycle Supply is still in Riverside Ca. But Harry sold it to a friend, and current owner John, in 86. The current owner is fairly knowledgeable with lots of Harrys work from long ago. But sadly much of his work is "lost" I have spoke to both Harry and John in regards to a piston needed for a big bore early Tecate '80mm'. With little success. So the search has begun for a compatible piston. On a similar not, i also called Power Pros and inqired about Tecate pipes and silencers. The gentleman said all jigs were thrown out a few years ago. Simply due to no place to store them with all of the current 4 stroke models now out. And the lack of consumers. He said it had been years since the time of selling a single 2 stroke exhaust, and the time of disposal of the jigs. Sad, but a fact of business i guess. This gives me all the more reason to support companies that still make 3wheeler products, PRM, Jemco, and all few others that are still out there, and always tell them thanks for their support. A Jemco tri-z pipe is next for me. Cause when they are gone so are the pipes forever.:(

Harrys a really busy guy this time of year but he'll still take a few minutes to answer an email or two. Great guy!

Hey Guys I use to ride the Tecates for Team Green Kawasaki, later Suzuki Qauds For Harry back in the Day,Acutaly he sold Klemm Research To Bill Kieffe, who sold it the guy that has it now (can't remember his name) I do remember that we used a Bombardier Piston @ 80 over stock, in a KX 250 Cylinder for what we called a National Motor (AMA Legal @ the time) bringing it to 327cc,and the reason for the Bombardier piston was that Harry liked the quality of E'm and the port timing lined up perfectly (thats if I remember that right) to the question on were to find the pipes Good Luck!! we pretty much destroyed E'm all most as fast as they could build them, nothing to do with the Quality just we were doing some serious banging with the Honda Boys in thoose Days,I do know of few guys still doing Two Stroke pipes,One being Maico's Only,he does pipes for other brands of Vintage Bikes as well,I do not Know if he will do a Three Wheeler tho,Could'nt hurt to ask,All So I'm trying to talk Bill & Jeff (of Bill's Pipes) into doing some hand built pipes w/me (used to ride for them all so)or for me on some Vintage Bikes I'm restoring,I can assure you ether way it will not be a cheap ($$) project to under go since they will most likley have to be handbuilt cones,as the jiggs are not around any more for a stamp....Good Luck
