I have this 250sx always rode worked and ran great. One day I take it through a creek nothing to bad, rode it back to the house. Shut the three wheeler off and went inside, came back out hour later and the thing wouldnt start up. When I turn the key on the light comes on but will not turn the starter over when I hit the start button. Have jumped the solenoid and the starter turns the motor over good, but no spark. Wondering if anyone has any ideas to cure the problem. Thanks

Thats allot of questions
It's not "ideas", your gonna have to trace power and see where it's lost.... Yeah I know, you wanted a "check this plug" type of answer etc etc but "error in your favor :D", it could be just the fuse by the battery, did you check that yet?
If you push "start" you should find 12V down at Mr. Solenoid. If not, there are a few safeties and other parts in between that are shown on the wiring diagram and you will have to check them all.
IDT that fuse has anything to do with spark though so test away!
And............................................... ........

Blacklabs :welcome: to the boards.
DC: If I'm reading the schematic right, if the dash light(Neutral) comes on that should tell me if the fuse is good. 12V comes directly from the battery(red wire), thru the fuse to the voltage regulator and the key switch, Key on(Black wire) 12V goes to light on dash, back to the voltage regulator, also to the headlight switch, and then to one side of the "Start" button. Button is depressed 12V goes from switch to the solenoid, thus exciting the solenoid to activate a direct 12v from the battery.
**********When you press the start button you shoud have 12V on a Yellow/red trace wire @ the solenoid. If so check the ground on the solenoid, if a good ground it's a possibility that the solenoid went south or just a bad/broken ground (Gren/red trace) on the solenoid. You can use a test light to see the voltage at certain points, sometimes easier than a meter.
As far as no spark:
Alternator/pulse generator/CDI/coil/spark plug
And depending on what year it is 85/86/87 on an 85 the schematic shows a Diode inline with the neutral light to the CDI, and 86 show a relay of sorts inline with the neutral light and neutral saftey switch to CDI.
Lets check the 12V @ the solenoid not the ones from the battery but the smaller ones in the mini harness, you'll need a 12V test light for sure. We'll tackle this on problem at a time, lets get it cranking over first. My SX start button sometimes acts up and I need to wiggle it with my thumb to make good contact. Keep us posted.

Crazyness. Check the right side of the motor. By the lower frame. Check to make sure nothing has happend to your NEUTRAL and REVERSE switches. Sometimes they come loose. Your trike will be in NEUTRAL and you will get nothing.
Also check for bad connection/water/broken wires at the CDI box. This is mounted directly in back of the battery box on a diagonal kind off. Check that connection. I have had trouble there too. In fact. I'd almost bet its that.

well i had the same issue with mine and i coundnt find what it is turns out there is a ground wire that bolts to the exhast mount or something that broke and made it to where it wouldnt turn over the starter might check that
