Im having problems getting it to idle right, if i set it high enough it idles up and down like 1500-1700 but like sputters down to 400-600 but really fast it does all this, i cleaned the carb out when i pulled this thing out this summer (hasnt been run for a YEAR) could it be the pilot jet still clogged a little? i may run a small (i have a small set) drill bit through the holes?
would running the smallest to normal size drillbit through the main jet and drilled it out like the smallest possible would it give me more top end power? or even low ?

Dont use a drill bit!! Use compressed air, carb cleaner, and maybe a piece from a wire brush. Good Luck.

as a rule of thumb no, if you have something that small you should be ok.

if the bid is that small id just use it and some brake cleaner and use your fingers. dont use a drill.
