85 200x wont go into gear now

i was riding the other day never had any probs with it shifting. Then my buddys wench was all wrapped up. and i started to pull it out. and next thing ya know it wont hit any gear now. there was no noise no nothing. it just quit moving. Could it just be the clutches i burnt up from trying to pull that damn thing out?

no, even if the clutches were BAD you would still be able to move. The ctuch has nothing to do with not getting it into gear. Is your shifter slipping on the shaft? If not, pop off the right side case cover, and inspect the external gear shift mechanism. If you are unsure, look up a manual for the 200x here on 3ww. Go to the search toolbar, and type in repair manual and you should find somthing.
