I bent my axle the other day...

Ripping along on this nice tight trail, swerved a little to miss a puddle, and I clipped a little tree (about 3-4" in diameter)......I barely even felt it and now I got a little wobble in the axle! I was really pi$$ed. Oh well, I guess I have to put the spare on. Can these be straightened? Will it still be strong?

yes, they can be straightened, i bought my t3 from a guy that has a machine shop and were good friends and when i bent mine he said that he can straighten it so i ripped it out and took it to him and he put it on a lathe and span it to find the spot with the most bend and then he put it under a 50 ton press and bent it back it only cost 30 bucks :-D i was happy about it. he did the same with his when my friend was riding it thru the woods and hit a tree like the same way but this axil was bad!! bent soo bad he could barel ride it back :D and yes the axil is the same strength as it was before when it is pressed if it is heated and bent it isnt as strong anymore

Ya, after you get it straightened...it wont be as strong.
