Tecate question

Is it possible to bolt a different cylinder and head onto a 85 Tecate engine?I need something with a center exhaust port so i can mount it into a 86 Tecate frame.Will this idea work?
If there is different options and this will work ,i would like to know my cheapest route,or maybe the best route.

Does any one else have any thoughts on this?
What engines would bolt in (or bolt in with mods)other than the 86/87 tecate motor,they seem hard to get?

should be able to fit any 85 - late 90's kx250 engine in there. older ones will bolt in easier. the lower motor mount changed about 94
