Newest Addition to the family!

just picked up a YTM 225, 86. Runs great. no smoke. but it pisses gas out the intake. the carbs in pretty ruff shape.

First off. What can i do about the carb? the jet is slightly bent??

Second. were any extended swingarms made for this trike?

third. Does any 1 know the stock tire size? the tires are so worn on the side for some reason i cant make it out. looks like he sided alot of curbs.

For the carb get a rebuild kit from a yfm 200 or 250 they donot make a kit for the ytm225. Ill try to post the pics if u want email me Ride_TTR_125@msn.com i might be able to post them.

the paint job is not as bad as it looks, its pretty clean, and he used some kind of paint that holds up pretty good. i spend a couple mins bending the plastick to see how well it holds up. and no cracks at all. yet. we'll see.

needs hand grips. New muffler. and new rear tires. Damn is it ever loud with that big hole in the muffler.

kijiji, guy delivered it to me. made a hour long drive too.

had it delivered to me, guy came from coldwater ont, he said it only needed a carb or a carb kit, after he left i pulled the carb apart. the floats were upside down. flipped it over no more gas leaking from the carb. cleaned the jets fires up on first pull. has a small problem going into the next gear when moving. and had a front blown wheel bearing. other then that i have not found any problems with it.

Doesnt look half bad luke besides being spray bombed. Especially at $300 on your side of the continent. Good luck with it.

thanks barry mann, yea the paint job is a little on the frankenstein side, shopping around for a new set of fenders now, i was just going to repair the ones i have now, but after taking them off flipping them over, chipping some of the body fill used on it. i realize that there just junk. painted alot of the removeable covers from the engine monster energy green today. the engine has a fairly nice coat of black paint on it. so my color scheme is green and black.
