Hey guys just wondering if someone could help me out. Running a '85 R with the stock carb. Has esr pipe and boyseen rad valve and k/n filter. It seems to bog a little bit if your not right in the power band and when just idling it will idle fine for a few seconds and then it creeps higher and then comes back down and then goes back up... bike is being broke in right now so the mix is a little rich but that would effect it that much other then foul a plug a little quicker..any help would be great.

Have you cleaned the carbs lately? Check for air leaks between carb and cylinder. Heres a good site for tuning carbshttp://kawtriple.com/mraxl/carbtuning.htmBeets

Thanx for the site. It starts everytime second kick and idles. It seems to idle fine as it is warming up but after the engine is fully warmed up then it starts idling up and down.I'am not shure how great the 85' carb is or if i'am just looking for perfection out of something thats not gonna give me that.

Another thing to consider is a bad flywheel side crank seal. A redneck way of checking is to take the cover off and squirt starting fluid on an around the seal area while its running. If the idle goes up and surges, there is a good chance that is your culprit.
