My 250r ran pretty good to my limited knowledge of owning 2 strokes. My question is should I inspect the crank/rod in order to ensure a reliable setup with an esr310 top end I am going to put on? or is it ok to use the stock setup

also I noticed that the counterbalancer gear has in and out play that causes a sort of "ringing" noise... is that normal? I just need peace of mind and the bottom end is the last thing that hasn't been looked at

If I was dropping the coin for a 310 bet you ass I would definitely check the bottom end.

Haha good call. No in all seriousness. Make it fresh as you can. There are alot of 250Rs out there no doubt. People think they will never run out of parts for them. But if your going to spend the coin, why wouldn't ya check the internals. Think twice, build once. Then ride!

I'd get the bottom end checked out.
