Hello all, I have checked the wiring according to the manual and I have an open circuit testing the red /black wire at CDI to ground. I checked whe wire throughly and I should have 200 ohms. I have replaced the stator coil on other trikes (200s & 200m) but according to my source this one is different. Does anyone know of a good source for this part besides honda. I usually get them from DRatv.com. Thanks in advance

Well, what do you want to hear?? No one has input?? Maybe not TODAY, but there have been hundreds of posts on specifically the 250SX system.
Spend a few minutes with different wordings in the "search" feature but I'm not sure if that will help you. Are you looking for a place to buy a CDI or other electrical parts??
If you have the manual and can follow the diagram and use a meter your doing allot better than most people :D
You can ask in the 3WW classifieds and or there is EBAY.....
The 250SX does have a weak point that I found. It gave me quite a bit of crap trying to find this intermittent issue. In my case, right at the CDI mount at the battery box I had some wire breakage and fraying because of the swingarm pivoting etc etc. You'd have to unwrap the wires' outside cover to inspect it.
Search, post again, be patient - it is what it is :beer

Cool, I can accept that. I guess I was asking wrong.I should have asked "What is the difference in the 250 sx stator primary winding and the 200s stator primary winding if they both have a 200 ohm spec." Are they shaped differently. I cannot tell by the manual.

if im not mistaken the 250sx has a wet coil(run in oil) and the 200s has a dry coil. also they are probably shaped different. like previosly mentioned post in the classified ad for one and try ebay. and like code200k said dennis kirk most likely has one

Well I tore it down and it looks like the starter drive came apart and got between the stator wheel & flywheel & ground it up. I hope I can save the flywheel.
