I snapped off one of the four studs on the right side front fork that hold the front axle on and am going to weld another one in its place. What do i need to disconnect to make sure i dont fry anything on the bike?

Whats up Lunchbox....

Just because I'm confused - the fork leg is aluminum (Orrrrrr is the ES steel), steel studs so as long as your cool with dat :D were good.

I honestly never go crazy with disconnecting. I remove batteries - they're explosive anyhow - but I don't unplug CDI's but it can't hurt :D

Can ya heat it up and get the broken stud out??

i probably can get the broken stud out.. I was just searching and found where someone listed a part number for it but i looked on babbitts parts break down and searched both part numbers and am coming back with nothing.

its either one of these two numbers

90031969680 or 92900060250E

one is for the front fork stud and one is for the engine/exhaust header stud

You can just get a fully threaded SS 6mm bolt (.236 I think...) and chop a new stud out of it.

It isn't a cylinder and or head stud so anything that fits is just fine. SS is a bonus :D
