i have come to find those china engines are almost bulletproof. the bikes/atvs they make. the frames go to trailprotrailprotrailprotrailpro in a matter of hours on many of them. but those engines are supose to last.

loncin is lifan... last time I checked they were the largest small engine manufacturer in the world.

Those engines are Honda clones made of inferior metal. Having said that, provided you do proper maintenance, they are able to last quite a while. Would I mod one to hell and back? Nope. But in stock form, beat the hell out of it and it'll do just fine.

Would any of these fit a 200x? Even as an Auto-x?

yes they fit. They actually are a nice option now that enough ppl have done it to get the wiring figured out. Suppose to bolt right in and they come with the auto clutch or a standard clutch

Which ones fit? The only one I could find that even looks like my 200x motor is that 150cc I posted.

$600 is a pretty big pricetag for a chinese motor considering you can get a whole 200x for like $500....But a $500 200x will probably be pretty shitty haha. And that motor will just drop in no modification needed? The wiring and all that is good?

you can get the lifan 200cc on ebay shipped to you door for $450.it comes with everything but wiring harness and exhaust.

The Chinese motors are great. I put a Lifan on a 200x about 3 years ago and it worked perfect. My engine came with everthing: carb, wiring harness, electric start,Coil, CDI, and intake. The install was a breeze. Once I realized the wiring harness had all the wiring for blinkers, horn, speedo, etc it was easy.

The stock wiring harness won't work? Or do you need a different one for the electric start?

im not sure but i will assure you this. if Goat is right and loncin is the same as lifan. those engines will take a BEATING. almost as good as an actual honda engine. i dont know about any 1 else on here. but i have installed 2 lifans on CR's and i always had an intallation problem. but nothing was terrible. one the engine mount would not line up 100% i had to drill it out a size bigger to get it to work. and 2nd the exaust seat on the head was not flat. i had to grind it down a little to seal. but other then that. they had no issues and they pull like hell and can take a kicking.

I can't find a Lifan without the electric start....I don't want to deal with a new wiring harness, I rather just have a kick start I can just bolt in.

I had a chinese knock-off honda generator style motor on my minibike. It was called JiangDong........thing ran like a raped ape, been beating the trailprotrailprotrailprotrailpro out of it for 7 years, still starts up first pull, doesnt smoke mor make wierd noise.......oh, did i mention it was 100 dollars brand new for a 6.5 HP?

those china-quads/bikes are crap as far as the frame goes, but the motors seem to hold up great provided you maintain them.

I haven't purchased any Lifan engines yet, but my son's quad has a 90cc lifan in it, and it's solid. The rest of the machine is crap, but the engine runs great and has lots of power. I've been playing with the idea of putting one in my other 70 someday.

Either way, you'll have to mess with the wiring.

You don't have to hook up the electric start, it's a separate plug.

it is funny you all say the chinese engines are good but the frames suck. I have to agree with the entire bike not worth its weight in pot metal, but in my experience, I have had a chinese 110 quad, thing sucked balls, engine and frame, my son's go kart on the other hand, frame is solid, engine sucks balls. I have given it very strong consideration, and think I am going to purchase a lifan for my go kart. The quad? POS< I traded it for a basket case 200x

Well, LIFAN meade engines for HONDA for years and years. So the engeneering is there. The materials are not specified by HONDA anymore
so don't expect it to be a HONDA. But it's very, very close and for the price of a new LIFAN I would not buy and overhaul an old HONDA engine.
It does not make any sense at all. And by the way, there is no comparison between the 200cc LONCIN and 200cc LIFAN engines. The LONCIN's
DO NOT have the power that the LIFAN has and it's a 4 speed engine. The LIFAN feels "racier" and with a lot more torque and response.
Just my experience.

my kds have two of those china made 50s...They run them hard and no problems with the engines yet.The wireing on one burnt one day out on some trails...had to drag it home but I rewired it and it still runs fine.

What about aftermarket parts for these engines? I did find a hopup CDI box and coil. But what about pistons/cams/carbs.
I watched a vid about a yr ago this guy had a Lifan 200X that was pretty built. very good exceleration. Would beat a stock 200X any day. Dont know what mods he had though.

The Bore/stroke is 63.5mm X 462.22mm on the lifan. Little different than the X top. Not sure about the cam.
