View Full Version : 2-stroke oil preferance

My dad just jumped onto the 3-wheeler wagon and is wondering what oil is best to mix with the fuel. He has always loved the smell of Castrol, and he knows most oils will work, but wants the one that smells best in the exhaust! :beer Any suggestions?

Klotz Benol or techniplate.. hands down. Tell him to buy some of the grape or watermelon stuff you mix with the fuel and oil.. Heavenly.. The grape stuff has my garage smelling wonderful.

Pretty much any KLOTZ product. i run Super Techniplate, and it makes me want to route my pipe up to my handlebars and chew on the tailpipe. or ride in reverse all the time. the guys riding behind me are lucky SOB's.

KLOTZ=SEX

and yeah, you could also buy those scent additives.

When I get a riding jones, I just go weed whack the yard. I run Klotz in the weed whacker too. :D

Benol or super technoplate is the way to go for scent purposes. Plus race gas makes me with a bulge in my pants.

And they work well for lubrication Also.

I don't like the scent packets in the gas, makes me worry.....
It could just be me but I'd rather be safe than sorry.

On a side note, I have always ran castor 927 in my atvs and yard tools. I have never had a problem with it. As soon as i tried using it in my jetskis I have had 3 pistons score the walls. 3 Different motors each one piston would cook. I am about to rebuild 2 of these and try running a cheaper marine labeled oil and see how that goes. I think it is just that these jetski motors run too cool to use the castor and its not dropping enough of the oil out of the fuel. I mix at 32:1
