I have the 85 250SX that the rear end needs redoing, but shoudl I repalce the swinger with one from a 86? if so what do I need to do to change it over? anything special or should it all bolt right on?

Its bolts right on. No mods.

is the 86 swinger the part hat stops the water leaking or is it something else? iw ant the part that doesn;t leak water like the 85.

Unless I'm on CRACK...... Because someone brought this up awhile back.
To run the 86 swingarm you need the 86/87 axle, tubes, brake backing plate, hubs etc etc.
You can use the differential and driveshaft etc etc on 85/86/87 but the other parts swap ENTIRELY but do not interchange/swap piece bt piece (hope that makes sense....)

yea, maybe I shoudl jsut redo the 85 and ensure I use new honda seals. may be easier. + i'm not going to be water driving hardly at all if ever.
