A small group of us went out to the desert for a memorial ride. For those that don't know, one of our members, Rex Karz, passed away in June. He was a one of a kind dude. I'm still bummed I'll never get to ride with him again. We got some good footage from the ride. Here's the vid.

Wow that was the best trike vid I've seen, the part when you are on the brakes sliding down and the sand was going all crazy was amazing. I didn't know Rex but I feel for his family and hope everything is all good with them. Great idea on the monument!

Credit for the monument idea goes to Jeremy (Vegas250r). You should see the reflection of the sun coming off it as the sun rises from the bottom of that hill. I only wish we would have polished it to a mirror shine first (it's aluminium). Next trip out there we're going to bring some materials to polish it up.
Edit: make sure you rate the video on youtube. :)

Sorry for the loss of your good friend and another fellow triker. Awesome deal you guys did with the memorial out were he loved to be. Takes some good friends to do things like that. He is in a better place looking down and knowing how good his friends were and are.

Wow. I hope to have at least one friend like any of you guys before I die. To many it may look like what you did was nothing more than put a pole in the ground and go riding for a day. To any one on 3ww, or at least for me anyway, what you did was nothing short of amazing.
God bless

Amazing friends in that group and what a awesome place to ride. No wonder it was your friends favorite spot. Sad to hear of the loss of a good friend and fellow triker, glad you guy's did what you did to show your respect and just how tight knit some of the real 3 wheeler community really is.....:beer Thanks for the post. Best of luck to all of you and his family....... p.s I do believe angels ride the heaven's on 250r's;) ;)
Wow..
Great vid, awesome riding, and a 1st class tribute to Rex Kars!

I forgot about this little sequence of still shots I took with the helmet cam. We were trying to stay close for the pictures but it's hard to do going up hill. Not bad though. Caught Nick (NOS_350X) in a wheelie at the end.

Real nice vid Doug and very thoughtful of Vegas and all you other guys to do this. Some of us a very passionate about this sport and I'm sure he would love to know that he's remembered this way :D
If no one else wants to admit it, I'll be the 1st to say that in the 1st 45 seconds I had tears in my eyes for REX and his family........ I'm not good with death, wakes etc etc be it someone I know, don't know or even animals for that matter.
GREAT WORK GUYS!!

I've got enough footage that I could do several of these without repeating anything. If you guys want I can do a couple more. They probably won't be as polished as this one but there's some cool footage that hasn't been posted yet. I think I took 90 minutes worth of video that weekend.

Dude! There's always a couple people selling these things for under $140 shipped with a Buy It Now. Bidding is a waste of time. They sell for $219 plus tax at the local bike shop. $140 is a great deal.
Bam here ya go!

The only reason why I bought the Hero, was I was helping out a friend in a time of need... In retrospect, If I had known that there was options, and did a little research, I probably wouldn't have bought the Hero
Live and learn I guess:( The wide is so much better
