Hi,New member here AWESOME forum!!!I need a carb for my 1985 Kawasaki klt 160.Does anyone know where I can get one?I know I wont find a new one.I just need a decent used one that's complete. The one I have isn't.
Or can I replace it with one from another Kawasaki atv?
Thanks for your help!!

Can't say I have a carb for ya, but next time you may want to post a "wanted" ad in the classifieds.

Thanks man this is a cool forum.I posted in the classifieds but I also had a technical question about it.Do you know if there's any other carb that will fit it??I'm not too worried about re-jetting it.I just need to get a complete carb on it.lol

Besides the KLT185 and the KLF185 using the same carb (Mikuni VM22SS), the 83 Yamaha YTM200K, uses a Mikuni VM22 (although, it's missing the "SS" at the end). It "may" work, if you hit a dead end with the Kawi carbs. The jets are totally different, of course.
It has to be a 83 carb, in 84 they switched to flange mount.

You could edit your classifieds post to include the other KLT carbs too. I would wait to see if someone comes through, before I tried the YTM.
I couldn't find a klt carb on ebay, (except 110's).
If I see a ytm200 one, I'll post the link in your classifieds.
Do you have the fore and aft boots, to hook it up?

Yeah Ill edit it in a second.I've been all over the net searching.I think the one on mine is a ytm one. After doing a LOT of searching I haven't been able to find one that closely resembled mine until you mentioned the Yamaha.I found one on ebay and mine's identical to it.The factory carb for mine has a few things on it that mine doesn't have and I can tell never did.Yeah Ebay's full of 110s.Yes I have the boots to hook it up.
