Back in australia this was the bike I wanted over all others. Just my luck, when I moved up here to the states, well I found that very very few were actually brought here and even less are legal for the road. Years pass and days go by until finally I one morning wake up and was so tired instead of going to craigslist I punched in "NSR250 craigslist" into google. The first one was a ad in Portland, I clicked and low and behold, JUST POSTED LESS THAN 2min AGO! I replied to the ad and called dibs. Guy responded saying he had had over 100 replies in 2 hours, but I was the only one that called dibs on the bike, so he told me lets let a date for 2 weeks from now. Two weeks pass, I teach him on compression, idling, and jetting over the phone, guy is amazed at the difference and we set a date for a week later for me to come. CRAP had to work that day and waited another week.

When I got to Oregon, he showed me the SIX HUNDRED FIFTY TWO e-mails from different people all over the country who had been asking for the bike, I asked why he didnt sell it to the higher offers and he basically told me this "You called dibs, you spoke like you loved it, and I am man that keeps my word", after us both going riding through Hwy 52 (lots of twisties), he agreed I know what im doing on a bike like this, and we both chatted for about 2hrs until I had to head back. Gave my GF the keys and took off on the bike...hahahaha.

I have to say he is someone that I respect, he was getting offers of double the asking price, and still kept the bike for me, just because I jokingly said "I call dibs!". So without more boring reading...here is my new bike;

I will treat this as every other 2 stroke, need to order new plugs and do a lil bit better jetting to get the tan color I want. Bike is very maneuverable in all aspects; climbs, twists, apex's, its all good and feels like a barely twitch of my body on the bike. BTW, it is a V-Twin 2 stroke.

Ive always used HP2 oil, never had a engine die yet.

BTW, the mileagle in Miles is barely over 5,900. Besides one smudged decal, the bike is clean.

Anyone know whats good to use to polish the frame more? It can be shinier!

Anywhere where the aluminum has a brushed/rough look, sand it smooth with a D/A sander and 360 grit or 400 grit paper, then hit it with a polishing wheel and polish....will shine like chrome...or send the aluminum out to be chromed, then its no maintenance!

In the words of Flavor Flav:

YEEEAHHHHH BOOOOYYYEEEEE!!!

:w00t:

We've got tons of those things here in Russia, get 'em shipped up from auctions in Japan. If you ever need to find another one... :naughty:

I might just get one of thems, they look sick.

Did clean it up, runs better with a tightened spark plug. Yeah 2 cracks actually, sealed from other side. What should I use that cleaner on? Been using windex and a rag and toothbrush to clean everything.
