Have a 1984 200s. My cousin looked at the jug and said there used to be a "decompression switch" to make the bike easier to start when the motor was hot. Is this true? and if so can you buy a new one? any help would be appreciated!!!:wondering

Yeah it would be on the side of the head, number 6.

its just a lever, you flip it straight up, and it stays there. Pull it over once, and you need to flip it up after.just a shaft that pushes on the exhaust valve a little bit to open it, and give a little easier pull. I have never used a decompression lever, it dosnt seem too hard to pull over the 200s, but maybe thats just me.

I got a lever off a 200e, it's not connected to the pull start like a 200s is. My motor has a 200x piston in it. I don't use it often, but after riding a while there are times when I just don't want a hard pull.
