A guy a I know a couple houses up the road from me called for me as i was getting out of my car the other day. He said he had something for me. When we walked behind his house there sat a rater sorry looking 125m. He said someone had given it to him but he didn't have the time to mess with it to get it running. He asked me if I wanted it I said why not it will fit right in with my 200x and 200s. Now I am slightly too big for this thing at 300+lb but whatever it was free lol. I pushed it to my house and within a half hour i had the motor running. It sounds good and doesn't smoke. The wiring on the thing is hacked beyond belief. There was household wiring and speaker wire everywhere! It needs rear end bearings 3 matching tires and the wiring fixed. I picked up a parts bike from my uncle that had a good rear and a mostly complete wiring harness and 3 decent matching tires.

So far I have changed out the rear. I was going to change the bearings but the po welded both hubs on  That means i don't have a chain guard for the time being but whatever I plan on tearing it down all the way and cleaning everything up come winter time anyhow. Tomorrow I'm starting on the wiring oh boy an e-start harness looks complicated :( Anyhow enough chatter here are some :pics:

I just picked up a Big Red a week ago and it had both hubs welded to the axle. I have since fixed it.:Bounce

Can't beat free. I've dealt with the welded hub thing before, ended up replacing the axle and hubs.

At lease yours has electric start. My 125m the wireing is raped. Im surprised it still runs, no key lights battery...

Ya welded hubs sucks. Its not the first time Ive delt with it before my 200s was welded also. I was really surprised it runs. Looking at the condition of the rest of it I thought for sure it would take a bunch of work to get it going. I just hooked up everything for the ignition to get spark and started it using the battery charger lol. The pull start housing is there but all the guts are missing. The previous owners must have been real hillbillies lol.

So just an update on this thing. I have been going over the wiring and needless to say its all pretty much trash. There are wires spliced in all over the place and i cant make sense of whats what. I pulled the harness from the parts bike and its in much better shape. A couple plugs are different like the one for the coil but for the most part it looks like it will work fine.

I do have a question/concern though. If you look at the pics i posted you can see that someone for whatever reason punched a couple holes in the frame. I assume this was to gain access to the wiring but idk. My question is does this hurt the strength of the frame any? I may just swap everything over to the other one if so but i just found out it was a 110 that was converted to a 125m not a true 125m :(

unfortunately no, my parts bike did not come with a motor. What did you need though I will keep an eye out for you when I go to look for some parts I need for mine.

Oh ok if you decide to part it out give me a price on the pull starter. All the guts are missing from mine lol.
