I replaced the manual clutch on this old ATC200, got it back together and now it makes a bad noise from the right side. I took it apart, put it back together and still noise. Could this be the problem? When putting it back together I folowed the manual, put the penny (copper cyl.head washer) inbetween the drive gear and the clutch housing and put about 80 ft lbs torque as the manual states. Well one of the teeth on the clutch housing broke off. I spun the gears and they seemed to mesh nicely with no binding or noise. Is this my problem? Where did I go wrrong if this in not the problem? I hate this auto clutch contraption.

That could be your problem. It's hard to say for sure. When I tighten the nut I use a air impact with out a penny. I just use short burst of power. While this isn't the way the manual says, it works well for me.

Sam when are you going to learn to leave the mechanical things to the mechanics. You are just a pilot and operator. You may need to convert Marie to your Mechanic/Crew Chief if you are going to operate Fritz Racing to it's full potential. I thought you were moving back down here soon. The 250R has a few more tricks done. I want to show just how bad a 250R will smoke the bad 200X you have. See ya.

Air is good, but I do not have. Does anyone have outer clutch drum ( I guess clutch basket) for sale? For ATC200..need it to be cheap!
