Do not go to dunes when sand is wet.

It rained all day Friday, but was great weather Saturday so we went as planned to Waynoka.
The 200s did fine. My 200 autox didn't fair as well. It was the first time out with the trike and it was running lean. So power was down, I started out with stock sprockets, and went from a 12 front to 11 on the front.
The chassis was great in the open, even over rough sand. But it was so wet, and clumped, I trapped the front tire twice in rutted, soft, wet heavy sand. Barrel rolled down the biggest dune when I got my front tire stuck in a big rut near the top. Then nosed over in the trails on another deep wet rut.
Being down on power, it wasn't sliding the rear as much as I like. Late in the afternoon, some places dried out enough to slide some, but by then I was wore out from fighting the heavy sand.
The 200s, turned much easier than the 200x. Between less caster angle and the smaller front tire, it was a lot easier to ride.

I never even knew that those little 200's had the nuts to pull in the dunes.....

I guess it pulls up the hills pretty good??

BUT, I've never been and don't know what it's like - wish I did and hope I do someday!! Probably when I'm about 50yo I'll take a roadtrip with DEEPA :D

Our 200s are not stock. One has a 200x piston the other an 11:1 piston, both have ported heads.
The autox has the 200x piston, it's lean because the filter was changed to a K&N and the exhaust is aftermarket.
