It may take a little bit for the plates and discs to wear in. Did you soak them in oil before installing them, and proper clutch cable adjustment should also be considered. There should be a little play, maybe a millimeter or two at the lever on the bars before you can see the lever on the motor moves at all. Good luck!

I actually am having a similar problem. Just put a new ebc dirt racer clutch in my 350x. Worked great rode the bike for maybe 6 hours total. Installed it by the book. Now the clutch is slipping really bad. Cant figure out why, so I will have to open her up again and see what went wrong. Never had a problem with new clutches before.

Odd. I just soak mine in oil for about an hour and put them in. Are you sure you started with a disk and not a ring? You should start with a disk and end with a disk when instaling them. Alternating between. Other than that, adjust until the clutch lever just has a bit of play when squeezing it and it should have been fine, mine are. :(

I didnt soak them for 15 hrs. But were soaked for awhile. Wonder if that is the problem.

Generally the steels will be glazed if they got too hot, easy fix though without buying new steels, that is if they are within tolerance. I glass beaded mine on my R, same ones that were in it when I bought it in 02, I'm hard on the clutch too

I will try that. The fibers and steels were brand new right out of the package.

you local shop is smoking crack. fastest way to trash a motor is to swap oils or parts like clutches from different oils.
