Could this be a nice upgrade for my 250R?

I was thinking about buying a 38mm tmx flatslide mikuni carb from a friend. It has the jet boards to run either gas or alcohol. It was on a trx250R but only for a race or two. I have an 85 R with an FMF pipe on it. Would this be a good upgrade for it?

i dont know???? i dis like the mikuni carbs. they are a pain to get the jetting right and keihin seems to out perform them. i would pass and look for a keihin 38mm air styker.
