It's a low hour 1985 Honda 350x! Even has the original tires (I think?) The front tire needs to be replaced because of dry rot but other then that it seems to be perfect. I am so excited, I haven't got to really drive it except around the drive way and this thing is a wheelie machine compared to my 200x! :w00t:
The tank and plastics are in amazing condition and are original not maiers, the tank has ZERO rust inside too!

The rear tires need to be replaced so here's my question....I have some ITP Holeshots on my 200x in 20x11-8 that I want to put on my 350x which have Ohtsu 22x10.00-9
http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2529/3988377199_ca0173d185.jpg
Do I have to switch the tires over to the 350x wheels or can I just take the rims off the 200x and put them on the 350x? And are the front tires/rims the same from a 200x and 350x?
Thanks!

$1275 doesn't seem bad, and I know the front tire isn't original, just real old haha. It has always been owned by older guys....till now :naughty:

Welcome to the 3fiddy club, nice bike you got there, do yourself a favor and pick up a set of maier rears for it, it would be a shame to get that rear fender garnish ruined, seeing that they are nearly impossible to replace
:EDIT: The rear tires and wheels from your 200X will bolt right up

What rear shock setting do you guys recommend for a guy who weighs like 200lbs and does trail riding? Oh yea and it came with the original owners manual

I'm pretty sure that my rear shock is set on either 3 or 4, and I'm over 200lbs

What is a good tire that won't completely break the bank? Front tire as well!

It all depends on what kind of riding that you're going to do for the rears. Up here in New England we ride on all types of different terrains. I use the Kenda front Max, and for rears, I run Cheng Shing Lumberjacks

The bolt pattern for the 2 are the same, you're not going to change the hubs
350Xccelerator
10-06-2009, 11:17 PM
both are 4/110 bolt pattern, and yea as tanks350x said youre not changing the hubs, just the wheels.

As far as the front wheel, 86-87 200x will bolt up to your hub, 85-86 250r also will. The first gen 200x will not work with your hub. Im not sure if you can use the hub and rim from a early 200x. Maybe someone else knows.

$1275 seems fair to me. Nice find! If you are willing to run a 20" rear, I have OEM Honda 400ex Ohtsu's on both of my machines, which you can find on Ebay.
For the front, you can get a Nanco reproduction identical to the one on your machine (1st gen 200x pattern) for under $40 (I love this tire).

1250.00 is a great price, around here they'ed be asking like 3g's all day!!! like previously stated, nice oem fenders w/ garnish are more to replace then what you paid for the trike, thats if you can find them!! So drop the 130.00 on some maiers if you plan on riding it. you'll be glad you did.

Nice 350! Be careful with those plastics if they are original. Might want to pick up some junkers for riding.

What are you suppose to do, hang the plastic on a wall and tell all your friends about it? post pics of it on 3WW every 6 months??
Run what ya brung, or in your case, run what ya bought!
The only reason to remove those fenders should be to sell them for a profit, then the trike cost you about 500$

Yea I want to get a riding set sometime in the future but unless it's still in the crate I'm gonna ride it :beer That's what it was built for and what I bought it for right? :TrikesOwn

go on rockymountain and save up 200 to but a rim/tire combo...
Nice trike.
Id take those oem's off and put them somewhere too, buy a set of maier battle plastic for sure

So these old tires that are starting to dry rot are worth money or something? I have an extra set of rims and tires with woogley boogers on them or something which look pretty crappy so I was just going to put the new tires on those rims. I forgot to mention it came with an extra set of wheels and tires (rear)

The only thing with it is I think there may be an air leak or it is running lean, sometimes if if you hit the throttle it will stay at a pretty high idle then come down...

dissasemble your carb - clean it out, oil it, polish it, whatever it takes to get it opening/closing smoothly.. lube your cables.. and read my PM..

I certainly wouldnt let the plastics stop you from riding, just be aware, and dont roll it:lol: As for the oem rears, they pretty much cant be replaced, but if there dry rot, and fairly worn, id just assume run them!

I just bought a Cheng Shin front (23.5X8-11) @ dennis kirk price matched from bike bandit and lumped it in w/ other crap for 5.00 shipping. And the rears are CST Ambush 20X10-9 cost me $50 each free shipping had them in 3 days form www.pureoffroad.com I mounted the tires on the rims myself, so my only lay out was the new meats. Sorry for the crappy pics, the old point and shoot isn't so fast anymore. All the tires seem good, not high dollar meats, but I'm just looking to trail ride with my kid, I'd love to get holeshots or something but "design on a dime", already got enough laid out with everything else. (Not done with my SX yet, work in progress)

Nice 350X and good price to boot. That seems to be the problem when you have a 3 wheeler -THAT- nice....you find more reasons to NOT ride it. When I recently restored my 86 250R (in signature), I purposely left the original, scratched up plastic on it for that very reason. I still wanted to ride it.

I actually dropped it off at my local honda dealer to get a once over and make sure everything is in order and to have a new front tire put on!
