I believe the 250es, and 250sx tanks are the same except for graffics. So it should bolt right on!!

I went through this before and if im not mistaking, they are NOT the same. You may want to double check or get another word on it. Im curious to see the answer also as i remember them not being the same.

It will fit the frame, but the seat on the SX and BR are different and on the BR you have two side covers that fit up against the tank. The SX has a one piece seat rear fender combination. It would not look right.

That was the difference i was thinking, was the way the seat/tank match up. They will fit, but doesnt fit right. Its kind of like putting a motorcycle tank in a 3 wheeler, seen it done many times but it just doesnt fit right! I knew there was something wrong with it just wasnt sure.

I actually have a br tank on my 250sx, Doesnt look to bad tucked the plastics unter the tank and looks like it came that way
