will this work on my sx?

will a uni air filter for a 350x/200x be ok on my 86 250sx? i'm putting the 350x carb on as soon as i get the carb kit for it. one came with a 350x i just bought but that thing ain't gunna be ridable anytime soon so i matched em up and there the same size and it fit good? i just wasn't able to attach the rear bracket part.

also there was a dg pipe that came with the x i was thinking about mounting up on my sx and having the muffler shop make them connect with the factor sx head pipe. would that be too big? (not to sure if going to go this route, might be cheaper to buy made one for it)

Hopefully you're not going to be mudding/water riding the SX. If the shoe fits, wear it, as they say. As long as the UNI is meant for that carb, go for it. DC & TriZnate have both done the 350X carb on the SX, maybe they'll chime in.

the uni is still in the factory sx airbox with lid on.
the sx is going to be used for hunting/ice fishing and a little trail/mudding.

i heared that 350x carb fits bolt on the 250sx engine is that true.if yes does it needs smaller jets kit as the intake is larger?

I think you have to use the SX pilot & main jets in the 350X carb if I remember what Triz-Nate did.

Yes the 350x carb does fit the big red and SX however the choke is located on the carb and not cable.
