Ross spoiled me this year for Birthday/Xmas and got me a new ride...

I think he was getting tired of listening to me whine about being so slow, so here it is... '03 Suzuki LTZ400. I know it's not a trike, but it sure is pretty!

Thanks to Jason Hall and Sandy for whetting my appetite with the 450 at Silver Lake! Perhaps I should have been on a 4 stroke all along. :w00t:

We try and keep our machines as stock as possible to keep the reliability in play, and pumping up the blaster just seemed a bad idea since our 15 year old will be riding it whenever we go out... so we're going to leave it alone and let me play with this one instead. We've got a few tweaky things to do with it, changing up the tires back to the stock 20x10x9's which will help a little with the gearing which is pretty tall right now with the 22" bear claws that it came with. Some small adjustments to the bars and ergonomics and I'll be good to go. I may need gas more frequently now than with the Blaster.

It's not really easy find a good clean stock machine anymore and we were both really happy with this one. See you on the trails!

A set of yellow 'Powermadd' hand protectors & some 20x11x9 Razr's would totally set that thing off!

Sweet I have owned the same quad but with Kawi plastic for 5 years now and not 1 issue with it. Just change the oil and coolant every so often and you are golden. You will love it.

I use to own a Z400 and in my opinion there are not as reliable as you all think. Mine jumped time not once but twice. After the second time i finally bought a new timing chain. After one year of riding i had to adjust the valves. Now when i bought it i had the valves done. That was twice my valves were adjusted with in a year. Then the bearing carrier broke. So i replaced that. My chain was always popping. Brand new chain also always popping. Then finally my buddy borrowed it and the chain pops and breaks the crankcase cover. And you cant buy just one side they sell them in pairs for $700 bucks. One month after that happened to me the chain popped on my buddies Z400 and broke his case aswell. I'm not sure if they corrected that problem with the new fuel injected Z400's but for me i will never own another Z,KFX,or, DVX 400 again. I actually traded it for a 2000 Yamaha YZ 250. Just my 2 cents.

I think you did great getting the Z400. It has a SUPER easy reverse procedure, and has great power Stock.

Z400guy28- I would Imagine something was wrong to make your chain come off. Rear axle bearing's, worn out chain/sprocket's, Incorrectly adjusted carrier/chain. It's sure not the quads fault that the chain came off.

I know Ross will keep that baby tweeked & tuned. Have fun with It, It looks NICE :beer

I think your right about the chain adjustment only because the bearings, carrier, chain, and sprockets only had 3 rides on them. That's what happens when your mechanics don't do their jobs right. I love that mini trike, that thing is sweet.
