How to remove axle from 83 yamaha 200es

hello all, i am having a prob with getting the axle off the bike, i removed the tires, brake calipers and remove the hubs and took the 2 nuts off of the axle that are right next to the drive shaft, what i am trying to do is get at the bearings as one of them or all of them a finished. thanx

I did the one on my YTM200 and I put a 2x4 on the end of the axle with the nut on backwards and hit it with a sledge, it was also stuck pretty good
