new streetbike pickup

Just picked up this 2003 cbr f4i. Clean title. Bought off original owner. 5900 miles. Saw it on CL for 3400 b/o. Was listed for about 2 months. I believe I was the only person to go and see it. Took it home for..............1800 :D
The red bike next to it is my 01 f4i which I bought bone stock 3 years ago in November. (not stock anymore lol) Got a good deal on that bike too mainly because of the time of year, but still wasnt quite as good as this deal.

There was atleast a week of back and forth texting/talking about this bike. I got it that low because I knew he didnt want it or want to deal with it in any way, shape, or form. he said so himself, said it was a headache for him to have to deal with. winter around the corner and nobody else calling on it. And I think he just didnt want to keep storing it and having it on his mind. It sounded like he had a couple guys interested but nobody ever showing up with cash. So he was getting pretty fed up with the whole thing which worked to my advantage. I didnt jump all over it. I played it cool over the period of several days. Checked it out a few times. he texted me more than I texted him about it. I lowballed him and stuck to it. I never thought I was actually going to get it for only 1800. trust me he said no at first but I kept communication open and the price just kept going down. I was hoping I didnt get it because I dont mind sitting on my money over winter considering im laid off now. But I told myself if I got it real cheap Id have to buy it. So, I had to buy it! :)

cant see any pics, but thats a sweet score, I bought a brand new F4i in 2001, I believe it was the first year for the fuel injection. Great bike, I sold it in 05 with 6500 mile for 6k. It was still imaculate, and bone stock!! Bought a
051000rr off the floor for 10k. I still have a Oem windscreen for the f4i if for some reason you need one.

That's a great deal for the bike. I myself want to get a Kawasaki Ninja zx 750. I know their carbed but for some reason i've always liked that bike. Now i just gotta save some money.

just read up on this old thread while poking around. wanted to say thanks for the offer aldo but i dont need the screen. but good looking out! yes 01 was their first year for FI. too bad they went banana seat on the f4i in 04. looks much better with split seats.

And those zx7R's are awesome lookin bikes. definately a race bike. Ive always liked them myself. I had a zx6 and was torn between a zx7 and zx9 after i sold the 6, ended up with an R1 instead. I miss that bike too
