I was at a rod and gun club raffle and I won one a Tika T-3 Lite in 300wsm. I can take the gun, the cash value of the gun or get store credit equal to the value of the gun. So I was wonderin if anyone has any insight on this rifle or what you would do in my situation.:beer

If it were me, I'd take the store credit. You can Always buy the gun if you want it. A diff gun. Or something else you want if your not into guns.

A Tika T3 is a fantastic rifle, definetly up there with the Remington 700. The trigger on those thins are great. with the store credit you wont find a better rifle. It would be a fine deer gun but an even better long range "sniper" rifle

Fine for dear but .300 WSM is a bit much? I'd do store credit and buy the same gun in a .270 or.243.

Tika T3 is a superb rifle for the price. Adjustable trigger, detachable mag...I wouldn't compare it with a stock 700 Rem.

The Tika is a pretty sweet piece of iron... .300 wsm is fine for deer! Plenty of take down power! (not so sure about the Rem 700... I didnt like it... IMO) Some of the 30.06 goers in my deer party thought my 7mm rem mag was big, but I wouldnt have it any other way!

Yeah, take the gun. lol

I still think .300 WSM is overkill unless you are shooting zombie deer.

(coming from the guy taking the .300 Wby Mag coyote hunting Sunday, although that is not a case where your trying to damage less meat)

Yeah I'm pretty sure im gonna get the gun, I had a 270wsm and miss it alot. However that was a Browning A-Bolt2 in stainless steel so I figure this Tika can fill the void.

I'll never forget the time I shot a crow from the deck at my mom's house with my AR-15 at probably 100 yards, and all you could see was black feathers flying

Or the woodchuck my buddy shot with his Sharp's 45-70. The legs were still in the hole and there was a 7 foot blood spurt and we never did find any other part of it's body....
