i bought this from a member on here about a year ago. at first the parts didn't look bad till i looked harder. needed more than i thought. took me almost a year searching for parts. a few members on here helped me out with parts and most of the rest i found on ebay. i rebuilt, fixed, or made every little part on this. it should be a reliable rider. i have enough cash into it!
this is what i started with. engine was junk

frame and swinger had alot of cracks. had to weld up both. painted the frame pj1 blue. was going to get it powdercoated, by a friend of a friend but he took too long and i couldn't wait. plus really didn't want to put anymore cash into it. heres the frame.
i'll post more tomorrow.

heres the engine. bored 50 over with a wiesco piston, deck was milled 15 thousandths to clean up the sleeve. all new engine bearings, seals, gaskets, waterpump shaft, yamahondaman billet impeller (modified triz impeller), kawasaki rod kit, ricky stator and flywheel. i had to open the ports up on the sleeve to match the casing, the sleeve blocked alot of the ports. thats a kx intake boot with boyseen reeds. i have a new original intake boot but need an airbox to run it with.
greg king polished the clutch cover, and a few other parts for me.

rebuilt rear shock. the upper spherical bearing can be changed out with a needle bearing, which fits perfect. and is alot cheaper then the bearing from kawasaki. if you can still get it.

The ASV's look nice, but why did you get the foldback unbreakables? probably could have saved some $ getting anodized regular levers, isnt like a bike where it gets dropped once a ride or so lol.
looks awesome! Top Tier for sure

axle assembly. uses an extended t4 axle, rad lock nut and all the rest is 86 t3 parts. will also have 1.5 wheel spacers on each hub making is 50 inches wide in the rear from tire to tire.
the bearing housing was from a 87. they are different than the 86's. had to use a caliper mount from an 86 carrier and weld it on this 87 carrier i used. as i had already had my 86 caliper polished.

its going together really good. no major problems. new dg pipe, and i made a fmf silencer from a lt250r to fit.
thats a dcplastics tank cover. i think it looks pretty good. i had to trim the tops of the shrouds so the top tripple clamp would clear. i also cut the right side out around the radiator fill, so i don't have to remove the whole thing to check the coolant.
i made the grab bar. its a copy of the wide ones from prm.
both brake lines are stainless braided lines.

heres a couple pics of it all together. i think the yellow leaves are throwing the colors off, thats why i didn't want to post these. but it still looks good.
only part i don't like about this, is how the seat fits to the tank. looks like the seat should have been longer up the tank.
started on 6 kicks, now it starts every 2. i just have to break it in now. its real quite. i think thats because of the fmf silencer. i really don't want to drive it off road! the powerlines by me are all flooded and i know i'll get it covered in mud. but i can't ride it on the road forever.

heres the headlight i just finished. i just have to wire it in. i may get some higher quality lights later on. gonna try these out first. the frame is all aluminum, with 6in lights.
also a picture with an airbox installed. what a pain to get that box on. now i know why so many are gone! also has an aluminum airbox cover i made up.
i'll get some better pictures next time i take it outside, kinda crappy out right now to move all the quads outta the way.

Me three, are you selling those pegs extensions? Are they extruded aluminum or did you bend them to suit?
And how does it go after all that work? Being that you sleeved the motor and had to take 15 thou out of the barrel deck, did you have any detonation issues?
What carb and jet size's are you running?
P.S. The build turned out great, I'm not normally a fan of the blue green combo, but your machine is quite striking.

those peg extensions were bent by hand to the shape of the stock pegs. i could sell just the extenders if someone was interested.
i still haven't rode a full tank of fuel threw it yet. was still breaking it in when i stored it for the winter. it was running good, had no pinging. the cylinder was sleeved when i bought it. i just had it bored to the next size which was 50 over.
the carb is a 36mm pwk keihin. 152 main and a 52 pilot. started and idled nice and so far wasn't breaking up on the top end. i'm putting the stock box back on it so that may change.
