Anyone know of a performance clutch kit for the 250es? Seems they offer some for the quad guys. It lets the rpms build up before the clutch engages allowing the engine to reach its powerband before the auto clutch engages fully.
Works like a high stall torq converter for a hot rod car with an auto trans.
Does the trx300 4 wheeler have the same clutch as the 250es?

I'd imagine that heavier weights/springs would force the centrifugal clutch to throw out at higher RPM's.....
I've never seen a "kit" but I'm sure if you want it bad enough you could mess with the springs and weights.
Then again, maybe heavier springs and lighter weights?? A heavy weight would throw out and grab faster?? Who knows........

the easiest thing is this: take the centrifigual clutch shoes out and drill (better to take to do on a milling machine with end mill for precision) out a little bit at the end of each "shoe" at the opposite end of the fulcrum or pivot point. do them all equally and according to theory it will take a higher rpm for them to engage the drum they reside inside of. that is the cheapest and easiest to do. I only recomend this because I am not aware of any stiffer springs that would be a direct replacement and have the proper resistance to accomplish what you desire in performance. Send them to me and I'll put them on my mill for ya for free just to see how it works out...
