Is this true that this one won't work on a 350x?Or did they make speedos for different models? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2426607566&category=43971

They read the speed from the front tire so it is probably set up for a 22" tire not a 23.5"

as long as the axle fits thru the sending unit + the rotation is correct it will work. oh yeah,,, you got to have a little tab protruding from your hub. it fits into the sending unit to drive it.
it max's out at 70mph so that shouldn't be a problem. ( my 350x don't go that fast they way it is now)
the only thing different about this one verse's the one i have is the mounting bracket.
other then that i don't see any difference's.

The length of the cable is the only other factor. The 350x's, 250rs, had longer cables than the 185-200cc models. ;)

When I bought mine from MR ATC I was the first one so he had a complete 350X Mounting Kit to go along with it. I asked him about future replacements and he said that the speedo cables were pretty standard, could get one the same length from another Honda bike. I was pretty amazed at how specific the kit was for my 350X! I'm sure that and the tire size are what makes the difference. I can tell you that I ran the Hondaline Part number on the box for the Speedometer itself and it just said Honda ATC..... not specific to model.

the parts that are trike specific are
gearset,
the mounting bracket,
cable guide,
cable,
misc. hardware,

the speedometer is universall.

Honda use's the same type of cable ends on almost all models, you can get a cable from another bike that will work. i would sugest something like a mid 80's XL 250/350 cable
