When my yamaha 225 is idleing with a stock muffler, I can put my hand behind it and feel pressure. When I give it gas, the pressure of the exhaust seems to lessen. Does this make sense? What could cause this? Let me know, Thanks

There are no holes in the exhaust. I mean when I put my hand behing the muffler and give it gas, I hardly feel any pressure. Where is it going?

Check again, there has to be a leak somewhere. Do this. Completely plug the exhuast system with something and if it dies you dont have a leak. If it doesnt die you have a leak somewhere.

When it was idleing and I held a rag over the exhaust, it died. But when I gave it gas and plugged it, it didnt die. But I couldn't hold the rag on very well. It just doesn't blow out like I think it should when you give it throttle. Is this normal?

Must be. It may not die at a rev if your plugging it and cant hold the rag on very well. Sounds like youre fine to me.
