I use straight purple power i just saturate the machines and then wash them with a soap/sponge before i hose it off. It takes care of most of the grease, dirt, dust, and pretty much anything else that might be there...

And if you have chrome bits you wanna polish, go get some chrome polish like Brasso and it'll shine em' right up

I use my power washer, and a soft bristle brush. Don't really need any soap when using the power washer.

I spray silicone all over the bike everytime i wash it. It will make it shine and look pretty. then after you ride it all the dirt falls right off. It cant stick to the silicone surface.

Simple green works but I usually just use the same soap I wash my cars with.

A friend of mine restored a '55 ferguson and polished all the chrome with toothpaste and commet. Anyone ever hear of or use this method? Final product came out great but not sure if its better than polishes.

I usually use the pressure washer. It removes all the mud, dirt, scuffs and the OEM stickers or nice reproduction stickers you paid good money for:D It's so cute how one side of the sticker lifts from the pressure washer.... yet the other half sticks? So you rub it down and shake it off.... and then proceed to lift the whole FRIGGEN STICKER OFF!!!!!!!!!!!

The only things I wanna wash carefully are my FOX T shirts............

wash it????? why????LOL!

Just kidding dude, wash it however you want, just be mindfull about electrical wires and air filters. depending on your set up. Some guys remove their air boxes, so they have to be really carefull hosing it down, but otherwise, they are pretty tough. If it is all stock, blast the mother!

oh, out of all those degreasers, I do have to say the purple power is my personal favorite, cheap and strong, very very strong! even cleanes the driveway at the same time, LOL!

As for the toothpaste thing, no, I have never heard that, but can see the comet working well ;)
