I have a 200es big red

when the starter is pushed the starter just spins

I have removed the flywheel and think I have it worked out

there are three rollers which seem to work with a bit of inertia

there are plunger things below the rollers, but all three of these are stuck in.

2 came out no problem, 1 of these had a spring in but it was only the length of the plunger, the other had no spring.

the spring from a pen seemed to fit well but I am not too sure what length it should be. I am guessing the plunger is supposed to hold the roller out fully in its groove.

my other problem is that the third plunger in jammed in and the top of its hole looks a bit damaged so it may never come out again.

I am thinking of refitting the 3 rollers but only 2 will have the plunger working properly, will 2 be good enough the get the engine started or should I try a bit harder to get the 3rd one working if it is possible at all.

you will need all 3. last time i did one of these i had to replace the springs rollers and the surface on the gear that it rolls against. if that surface is not perfectly smooth it will do it again. i just did one less than a year ago and the parts were available.
