Well I figured it was time to start a thread about my build. I bought this bike in January of this year and fell in love with it. It definatly needs work, so since I took posession of the bike I have been searching high and low for parts. I didn't realise how hard it was to come up with parts for these bikes, but with the help from many of you on these three wheeler boards I have been accumulating parts and making progress. Here are some pics of the bike.

Here she is the day I picked her up

Here are some of the parts that I have gathered

Here's a pic of the new engine I picked up from a member over at planettrikes, Sprock 310 with all the goodies

Here is how she sits now, pretty much the same as when I bought it, so far it has been a parts hunt, other than changing some bearings, new chain and sprockets, pivot bolt and adding brakes to it I havn't done much to the appearance, I just wanted to make it ridable.

and here's a pic of her sitting with my 03 banshee

Soon she will be torn down and off to the powdercoater, I just won a set of orange z fenders that were on ebay and a member on here just sold me his NOS headlight plastic (thanks mike!)
Any ideas or tips would be awesome, this will be my first ground up build so I will be taking my time, I want to do it right and sometimes money can be an issue so please be patient.
I watched the top tier tri z build and all I can say is WOW!! I hope to be able to come somewhat close to the results of that machine.

Great pile of parts to start with!

Take your time with the build, and it will come out top notch.

And your going to LOVE that bigbore kit. If you need any advice on running it shot me a pm.

Should be great when finished. And is that seat black ducktage :D lol

yes that is a black ducktape seat cover lol, previous owner custom made it himself, red green would be proud. I have another seat that after searching around and looking at pics will be sent to the moshes to be recovered, from all the pics I have seen they do AMAZING work. With the orange plastics my theme for this bike will be "General Lee 310 Z".
And thanks Eric, I will be hitting you up for sure, the previous owner of the engine was running a stock carb, not sure what the jetting was, what would be a good choice for an aftermarket carb? I also got 2 extra domes with the bike. I know that she is set up to run on pump gas now but what are the other two domes for? If it helps any I purchased it from Mazin over on planet trikes. I am fairly "green" when it comes to 2 stroke bikes, so please bare with the me and my stupid questions.

Got a lotta nice parts there to throw at that machine.
Should come out great.

As for the carb, Run A Keihn PWK 39 mil Airstryker..
Those big bores love that carb.

As for the domes, No matter what, I suggest you run the lowest CC dome for the bigbore kit, and run Straight 110 Fuel with that dome..The 310 kits have so much low end snap, jumping higher on the compression, will not be needed.

Good luck on the build and keep us updated.

Oh yeah, thanks for the compliments on us..

Just a quick update, I got the plastics in the mail today, and the headlight shell I got a few days ago. The pics don't do it justice. I've been winterizing the fleet this week and now that I got that done I will be tearing the Z apart. Here's a couple pics...

I like the sound of that: "The General Z" you should get an "01" custom seat cover too, that would be pretty awesome
