would it be possible to run a xr200 top end on a atc 200e bottom end since i heard 200x top ends work and there susspose to be the same as the xr.

Yes, it is a bolt on but you would need to use the 200e rocker cover if you want to keep the decompression lever.

Rumor is the XR200 cam is better then the XR200R as well. I forget what year they changed it slightly and if you order a new XR cam it is superseded with the XR200R one.


But make sure it is not the Dual carb one Honda made for 2 years, those parts DO NOT INTERCHANGE.

i have the 200e stock engine and i want to get a Xr200r pison would that work.. fyi i cant change the outside dimensions like cylinder and head because of space requirements

Yes but you will have to bore the cylinder. The stock XR bore = ATC200e 2nd bore

you said about the decompresion lever if i use the xr200 top end will my 200e electric start be fine or will i have to fix my pull start.

Do you flip your decompression lever every time you start the trike now? It is better for the pull starter to use the decompression but I do not believe it is necessary. Besides, you can use the 200e valve cover on the xr head and still have the decompression lever.
