So i ripped the carbs off of the yt175's i bought a few weeks back. They were dirty as all hell. But raises some questions. If your looking at the oil fill directly to the left of it is two hose connections. what in the hell do they do? on one of those 175's the carb was connected to it? and when i pulled the hose off gas came out. i cannot see at all why the carb would be connected to this. I looked on my yt125, it has the same two hose connections the one to the rearmost is used the other is open? I looked in my manual, but because i have no idea what it is im looking for it makes pretty hard to locate... any help at all would be awesome, i cannot put these back together until i know the answers....... lol

Pictures would help, but if you do a search, you may find what you are looking for. The yt125 and yt175 carbs had 2 vent lines that weren't hooked to anything. One vent line was ran up along the backbone of the trike and the other vent line hung down. You also had one line that ran from the premix oil tank to the right front clutch cover that went to the oil pump and from the oil pump that ran back up to the carb. Then there was a vent line that ran to a small plastic cover that was down along the lower right side of the engine that was sort of a accumulator that was meant to be cleaned out every month or so but was kind of a little dump area so accumulated oil vapors and such just didn't dump out over the ground. But all this has been covered before, just do a "search" and you will see. Also some of these older threads have plenty of pictures and such.

i can't help you but i have to agree, i remember my tri moto 125 having an exhaust that did 2, 180's to get to the silencer. the shifter is some sort of hydraulic set up. the chain adjustment was kinda weird. i guess what i'm getting at is no one got it perfect like honda
i got the carb covered. i wanna know what in the sam hell the two hose connections are for? they are to the left of the oil fill when looking at it. I dont know if your search function is different than mine but i cant find squat. pretty hard to search for something when you dont know what it is. i hear you about the pics, when i left i was like no i wont need my camera. When really i should wear it around my neck permanently...lol
this accumulator sounds like it may be it though, my search continues......

By oil fill you mean transmission oil fill I am assuming. One of them is for the accumulator thing mentioned above, and the other should be going to the oil pump (right side I believe). The 175 also has the fuel pump, and 125 does not. The pump hose should go to the reed manifold, or on the cylinder right where the reeds fit in. Just mess with it a little, and you will figure it out.
