What is the best way to fix a tank with pin holes? I have talked to a few people and the all seem to agree that welding blow out the hole and cause bigger holes. Do those tank coating plug the tiny pinholes? I need some advice quick. A new tank is really not in my budget.

take it to a radiator shop and have it cleaned, repaired and sealed. Best way short of a new tank to fix it, it shouldn't be too much either.

I've used brazing before, it works well if done right. If we have one thats bad enough we cut out the bad spot and weld in new.

Stitch them up with the welder, then put a POR-15 tank sealer in...

I used some stuff called Red Kote today, and there was pin holes probably 3/32 and smaller, and i didnt have to use anything to cover up the holes before i did it. A little dribbled through and dried. I'm gonna take a razor knife and cut it flush to the tank and coat it again.
I have no gripes about red kote, only $30 a pint.
I'll take pics after I'm done with the second coat.
One recommendation though is make sure you clean the inside of the tank out well. I used six 1/4 inch nuts and shook them around in there for about 10 minutes and it got a LOT of the stuff out, and i thought it would be sufficient, but nope. Still some in the tank and the red kote does not cover, but seems to be curing very well. Make sure you clean out your tank well.

If the tank is just on an old beater, I'd patch it with JB Weld.

The JB Weld trick works for a while, but then the gas eats through it. Ask me how I know!! lol
