1983 185s questions

Hey guys new to the forum and have found great info here but I have a couple of questions. First off I am looking for a rear brake drum and I havent had any luck w/ebay or the sorts. Any info on where to get one would be great. Second i have searched the forum for a wiring diagram on my model but to no avail. Anybody have one??? The last is I cant seem to figure out how the decrompression cable hooks up to the recoil??? Thanks guys

try the classifeinds for the brake drum..but for the diagram did you try looking for a manuel?

If you have the proper recoil starter on your 185s, the decomp cable hooks into the same side that the pull rope handle is on. There are several more internal parts on a decomp recoil starter than on a standard recoil starter. You should be able to find a downloadable shop manual on here that will show all the items that you need to know. Welcome to the boards and you should be able to find all the info you need. Post some pics of your 185s. Alot of people on here own them including me except mine have rear suspension kits and aftermarket front ends. Just do a "search" for "suspension 185s.

Hey guys thanks for all the replies and I will post some pics when I get it all back together. My pullstarter is the right one for the cable it has the hole for it I just cant see how it goes together on the inside?????
