found a guy sellin 2 3 wheelers on craigslist.. 2.5 hours away from me..

both are 83's one is a 185s, electric start front and rear racks

the 200 also electric start and frfont and rear racks...

there realllyy realy rough though i mean rough!

well start with the 185 broke rear fender bolted together, flat front tire and lack of seat cover, complete minus the recoil rope and handle

the 200 is not so good... the guys kid was cuttin trees down in the yard and a tree landed on it, busted the bars in half, and pretty much broke the forks in half!!

seat cover is trashed, fenders are stitched. it ran when the tree fell on it but ran rough, i pulled over the pull start to see if it was free and it is and seems to have good compression

the 185 also is free and has good compression

i picked up the pair for $125 bucks!! to most of you, the time wouldnt have been wasted on these machines BUT my wife has been talking about gettin a trike to ride this winter with me... and i think the 185 will be perfect for her...

the 185's tank has been welded so its pretty much junk ( looks like it was leaking) the 200s tank is good and holds fuel. im hpoing to get the 185 going for her using what ever i can off the 200 than part out whats left

i will post pictures of them tommrow im beat!! and gotta work in the morning

thats what i was thinking... but the one says 185 on it... ill investigate more today sinc ei ended up gettin the day off... here are pictures... like i said there rough.. just lookin to get one going for the wife to ride this winter

the one with the busted forks.. seems like it could be a rider with a new fork and bars... the 185? seems it should be a runner with a none leaking tank and a recoil ( im gonna see if the battery will charge on it first)

like i said there pretty beat, they were used as work horses and definatly not taken care of

from what i know the 185 ran and rode up untell the pull rope broke... and the 200 ran but rough untell a tree fell on it..

well........ the 200.. the one with broken forks runs... carb needs to be cleaned as it runs rough...

took the recoil off the 200 and put it on the 185? along with the tank with 2? 3? 4? year old gas in itfull choke... fired up and idles nice and smooth on the second pulll!!!

got the throttle cable free'd up now i got to get the brake cables free, revs nice.. well pops a little i need to pull the carb off and clean it and put some fresh gas in it...

so ill be parting out the 200 with the broken forks unless i get a good offer on it seeing the motor is free and turns over and runs

im pretty happy with my investment! the wife dont care as long as she has something to ride with me

yeah i noticed that after i was messing with them today... my bad.

so hows does the high low range work on them??? like a 4 low in a 4x4? just gears down for pulling power??? and the high is for more speed and play?

daniel_250r

yea its just like hi low in a 4x4 truck, for pulling and what not. high is for speeding around without any load

so true. she has had 2 surgerys on her right knee so kick start is a no go for her! . She tryed to kick over my last 200x and it kicks back at her a little bit and she was limping for a week. I got to put the battery charger on it and see if the battery will take a charge if not il pick one up..

might pull the starter off tonight and bench test it to see iv it even works

im hoping she likes it. her last machine was a 90 polaris trail boss 250 2wd and she loved it!!

Glad to hear you got such a great deal and I'm certain the wife will like the 200e. Mine is very likable plus the Hi/Lo gearing will help get things out of the trail path. :p

$125.00 was my next offer. It would have been nice to have a backup for parts. Oh well. Enjoy the new ride!

That's exactly what it was built for. He'll enjoy it too.

We need a picture of the BR pulling an ATV around. Hilarious!

Let's go riding sometime. Where you at? I'm in Green Bay North end.

Nice wheeling and dealing, a FREE trike. I'm sure your wife will like riding it and if not you got a loaner for those friends with nothing to ride. And if they blow it up your out nothing!

we used the trail boss to pull cars lol.. and pulled a blazer off a snow bank on the lake!! im sure we will put it to work.. its always nice to have amachine around that can be put to work if needed ( and we carry a tow strap in the cargo compartment)

im in fond du lac,, im supposto make a trip up that way this winter to ride with a few guys i meet on the blaster forum.

was looking on maier and ebay seems a left rear fender for the 200e is a hard item to find. can find the right side but no lefts...

besides the 'paint' eposode with my 200x ima good guy and enjoy trikes... and the metal scraps and nuts and bolts holding the left fender together on the 200e isnt gonna fly with me!

ill repair it if i can..

thanks texas.. i was trying to trade the motor and electronic from the smashed one to a buddy for his 84 tecate 3 he bought for 100 bucks.. he wants to use the motor from the tecate on a go cart and i just cant let that happen!!!

im good at wheeling and dealin, im happy ( back hurts from the 5+ hours in a truck) but she got something to ride with me and i have another machine to wrench on!! and a loaner it will be! the wife has one rule.. you break it you buy it!!
