So I picked up a freebie today, its a 73 Yamaha rt2 360. Bikes looks to be mostly complete and turns over with compression. I want to make sure the thing actually runs before i tear it down for a clean up. Only issue is the wiring harness is missing  I have spent some time searching and it seems this bike is points instead of cdi? The stator has a bunch of wires coming out of it does anyone know which one goes to the coil so i can at least check for spark? The kid I got it off of said it ran but needed crank bearings and that the clutch didn't work right. I know parts are getting hard to find for these old bikes so i don't know how much of a chance i have of getting it going but hey it was free :p

Ok, I found out the bike is points like i thought. The only wire i seem to need is the one from the points to the coil which was ran already. Now after spending some time messing with it I found the spark issue. The points do not seem to open. Does anyone know how to set the points on one of these? Since everyone likes pics here is one of the pos :P

Oh! almost forgot to thank MonroeMike for that diagram. Even though it dosen't help much as it barely covers the ignition system lol.
