Okay, recently acquired a lower hour atc125m that unfortunately sat around outside uncovered for awhile. Ironically, gas tank is rusted a little outside but perfect inside. I think the key switch is bypassed because it's in the off position but runs with the handlebar switch on. It has no battery in it. There are disconnected wires behind the headlight, not sure what is what. Does anybody have a wiring diagram? I did put a 12 volt battery in it just to see what would happen, and surprise nothing happened. While it is running without a battery I don't even have a working headlight or tail light, which I though would still work without a battery???? Maybe I need to get a new switch with a key and go from there??? Lost at this point. I guess the upside is I just rebuilt the carb. and its running sweet. Thanks in advance.

new switch and key, then wire it up back to factory, my 125m does the same

Ok, guess I will go that route. Right now I guess I still need a diagram. I have wires of one color going to a wire of another color.

They did that when they "hot wired it", when you had the battery in did you try jumping the starter solenoid?

I probably should have, was more concerned with getting it rideable for my buddy to ride this weekend than fine tuning since I was working outside in the rain. But, electric start is an option that I want working since the other trikes are all pull start.

Thank you MonroeMike, that's the exact diagram I needed. I searched on the forum to find the shop manual but came up empty. By any chance do you also posses the shop manual that I could print out? Thanks for your time.

Check your PM's.

There's another manual in Dammit's collection, that might help some.
