I was looking at getting a set of these (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=180420989907&viewitem=&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWAX%3AIT). $21 for two fronts and a rear is a pretty nice deal. My only concern is that I have heard that nylon covers are pretty rough on the springs paint. Dirt can get trapped in between the springs and the covers and will wear the paint right off. I'm looking to get a set mostly because it'll be a cheap way to cover the white springs on the KFX 450R shocks I just bought for my 400EX. Plus the added protection isn't going to hurt anything. I'm not into the ones with the flame jobs and all that. Solid colors (red or black) are preferred.
I really like the Dirt Skins, but they don't have anything listed on their site for KFX 450R shocks. Does anyone know if a set for any other 450 will work?
