So I've been looking for a cheap 250r around me on craigslist for awhile now and i found this little beauty for $300. Looked real rough but i thought i could gradually clean it up over the next few months

here it is after it's unloaded and in my basement. lots of parts looked spraybombed and half the parts were blue white and black from overspray.

Wow, they even threw two lifetime warranty Trail - pro tires in on the deal! Looks like a great project, and is always good with extra parts. Cool deal!

Heres the motor. looked good when i got it. when i opened it up the cases were broke though. looks like the previous owner shattered the piston. btw the forum isn't letting me post multiple pics in one post so there are gonna be a couple more posts like this coming up.

the frame after sandblasting. bought a cheap little blaster from harbor frieght and picked up another 15 gallon compressor for $25 on the side of the road too. amazing how much air those things go through.

here it is starting to come together. pretty much every part so far has been sandblasted and painted before being installed

here she is as it sits right now. Now im awaiting on a cheap right main case and after i get that im planning on buying a wiseco crank kit. comes with crank of course, crank bearings, and all seals and gaskets for $200. Well that's it for now, as soon as i can start piecing the motor together i'll get some more pics. I can't wait to ride it.

You've got your hands full, which side case do you need?

the right side main case. why you got one? also relized i need a bunch of other stuff like silencer, rubber bumpers for fenders, coil, and im sure lots of other minor things are missing. this build might take longer than i thought.
