I have a chance to buy two 1984 200's not sure if they are x,m or es or ? seems like alot of 200's were made but, I am a Big Red 250 es owner and love the shocks. The other trikes I would be buying for friends and family to use but, am I doing them an injustice not providing a rear shock when riding with me ? or should I hold out and buy one more 250 es . The two trikes are mint and going for 2000, I know seems high in your U.S eyes but up here its about average. But for the cash I could be a fairly mint 100 hours big red 250 es so what do you all think you would do?

Shocks come in handy, and provide better control and more comfort to the operator. It also depends if the operator has experience, and how old they are. I know a younger (teen) could ride the hardtails all day long, but older folks would start to get a sore back. Just a couple things to think about. I'd say yes, shocks do make a pretty big difference.

the hard tails arnt that bad. Like stated above, age, and rider ability will have alot to do with it. If there x's there fully suspended anyway. If your just going to be bombing around, I would say the 200's are fine. The 250 is the caddy of trikes though!!

If only it were that easy...
it all depends on the kind of riding, if you are just putting around trails not doing anything too severe, the 200s would be great. I also love them for doing work around the farm. Also if you get the 200s you will have 3 trikes to play with instead of just two if you get the 250. You know the saying the more the merrier!

Personally, I would wait and get what you really want. If you are unsure of that, then go ahead with this purchase. However, the 250es is just one awesome hardworking, great riding trike. If you do any distance riding or hauling, the 250es is a must. Of course I am alittle bias on this opinion hehe.

Like I said it is sorta like going fishing if I dont have rain gear for any people I bring then my trip is cut short cause Im comfortable but my guests want to go home. So although I would like to have three trikes I think I will go for the caddy 250 es. I rode and still own a 185s and after I got the 250 es (my lifes dream) I can see why all those years of waiting and wanting were for as it is a dream. I mainly haul wood and clean up property but when my nephew got on it even he said it was great. Plus the shaft drive compared to the hassle of chain ...and as I remember none of the 200 series have rear shock right ?
Also on the comment about going down to the states while most of trikes I have seen are 10 hours away so in my truck (gas ) and border taxes dont make for much savings. Plus the trikes up here are used for 3-4 months a year so after 25 years they are like a 5 year old trike compared to year round use down south. Thanks.

better get friends with their own trikes ....... lol but if you can be generous like that the hard tails are fine for occasional use ... 200x has full suspension
