I have done it before in a Pontiac 5G. It was a piece of trailprotrailprotrailprotrailpro rental car, so I didn't care about gas or oil. I took off the tires and shoved it in the back seat. This was a 2 door.

I put mine in the back of my Civic all the time.

Of course, mine's a wagon so probably not the same. I think I could get two in nose to nose.

Harry, my NSR was on display at the Seattle International Motorcycle Show today, haha my 250sx was in the back of the truck and one man said "You just own the GREAT oldies dont you?" made me laugh.

I put my 70 in the trunk, stick the front tire out. Strap across to keep it in and tie the trunk down.

thats awsome.use the straps around the trunk hinges and back axles and the front around the steering stem and down the front to the radiator suports

Remove the rear fender and rear wheels. Maybe loosening the handlebar will help also...

I agree it sucks. When I sell something and someone asks if I'll hold it, I always say if the thing is still here when your ready to come and get it, I'll sell it to you. That is unless the interested person calls and says they are on the way. Even then, I will give a strict time limit. If you say you'll be here in 1 hour, if your not here in 1.5 hours, its back up for sale, unless I get a call.
Just too many flakes call and asks you to hold something, then when they do show up, they try to low ball you. jim

That's a tough one. As an occasional seller of stuff, I've had tons of people say they were coming and then never show. It's hard to hold out for someone who might not show up, or worse, Like Jim Mac said, you wait for them and tell 2 or 3 other people that you're holding it and then the guy you were holding it for shows up and lowballs you. However, as the buyer, I admit I would be pissed too.

I think if I knew two people were coming at the same time, I would get their numbers and call the second person to let them know it had been sold, and hopefully save them most or all of the trip.

Whenever i sell something i always tell people that im not holding the item for them. Its first come first serve in my book. I have had people tell me they were on there way and never show up and that chaps my butt! But sorry bout the deal man. That sucks that the guy had attitude like that.

I really hate that. Just remember that karma for 3 wheel riders can really get ya :) If you make a deal and someone is on their way, it's sold for the time being. If the other people really want it they can wait the hour to see if you show. There has to be some trust...
