What kind of tires to you guys like in the snow? I got a set of rims sitting around that I was thinking of using for the winter. Maxxis makes a snow tire, but they don't look aggressive enough? What about sand paddles or a regular knobby tire with chains on them?

I saw a guy last year with paddles on a 450Z or whatever that 'Zuki quad is. The thing was like a friggin snowmobile. He was going up and over or through big snowbanks like it was nothing.

Maxis 4SNOWS hands down the best snow tire. No questions asked.

The 4SNOWS or PRO-HEDGE is what we think is the best .....at high speed!
For our use, the chains is not appropriate.

I vote 4snows, inexpensive a surprising traction. You can reverse them for ice, and again the traction is surprising.

Yep, 4-snow, Zipper, Pro-wegde, etc. are the best tire for snow riding.
I started this season wit my Kenda Knarly and on packed snow the 3 wheeler would spin up to 4th gear. Installed my Zipper and it will stop to spin in 3th gear... It will also wheelie on ice!!!!

Only problem with those Carlisle's are they don't come in a 9 inch rim. Out of the three, who's the cheapest? I have never seen those pro-wedge before.

4-Snows are indeed the best snow tire you can buy for a wheeler. They are unstoppable. I don't have a set, I run Maxxis Sur-Traks, and they get around pretty good.

Studs won't help in alot of snow, they are more for ice. You need the 4 snows, never heard any thing bad about them, but a ton of good.

The lumberjack tires should be good in the snow
