might be selling my 250r is it to cheap or rite $

I have a guy that wants my 250 R. It is an 82 with a 200x front end all rebuilt with spacers on the springs. It has an 84 engine that is bored and sleaved to be a 300cc. it has a hondaline extened swing arm with stock width axle. everthing works as it should and it runs and rides great. Tires are very good and has 200x stock rims. it has the factory head pipe with a corbra tip. it is fast and fun but I do not really ride it much, With the first gens steering rake and the extended swinger it has a wide turning radius, not great for trail riding. I prefer my 86 200x. The bad with it is the rear fenders are not perfect and I do not have a rear brake caliper to fit the mount on the swing arm. i told him a price but was wondering what you guys thought it might be worth. I am in northren WI. Lots of nice trikes can be bought under $1000 here so take that into thought also. Thanks for any input.

the price is just about right with the mods done to it, however, the price for a 83-84 air fooler is about $600-$900(if your lucky).

I told the guy a $1000 and he said he would take it. I know it would cost more than that to build it again. But I do not ride it much.
I had a guy this past summer who offered $1000 for it, he only wanted it for ice racing, at the time I turned it down.

i wish i had cash to offer ya... using the money from parting out my cr125r and selling the wifes tri moto to get her something else ( got my eyes on a 200x that needs a little love.. rear plastics and a headlight)

well if you have it sold for a grand go for it. you can buy a liquid R for that price.

Money will pay bills and stuff. So no new trike here, at least not right now.

Well I just sold it. The guy called me tonight and said he would like to come get it. I went out dug it out of were i had it stored for the winter and it started on 5 kicks. I thought that was pretty good seeing it had not been run since October and it is about 10 degrees out side. He did not want to ride it for the first time in the dark, so I drove it to his truck and helped him load it up. I sure liked having it but $1000 is nice to have to. the new owner said he might just put it in his garage and look at it for a while, but I don't think that will last to long.

good for you! selling anything right now for what its worth is a real challenge, hell I put my 85 250r up for $1600 to test the market and I got asked if I would take $600 for it.
